DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN OFFICE DESK ORGANIZER

Clutters in the workplace like offices affect the performance of the workers. To solve the problem, office workers have adopted the implementation of 5S which guides the workers to arrange things in their places.
The project study/thesis entitled “Office Desk Organizer” aims to organize supplies particularly found in the office. Specifically, the objectives of this study are to design and develop an office desk organizer, test its functionality, and revise defects if found during testing, and refer to expert’s perception regarding it’s functionality.
The project is compact wherein several compartments are designed to house an assortment of office supplies. The locale of the study was Lupon School of Fisheries, where the data has been gathered by the use of a questionnaire. It was then gathered and analyzed. Based on the results of the study it was found out that the desk organizer is functional and was recommended for use. Since the defects found during testing were revised, the researcher came up with the final result that the project is functional. With this, she strongly recommends to conduct further study on the said project to improve its performance. Additional compartments were also suggested to add more space for other school supplies.
